Qualifications:
Alan has been a full-time professional Driving Standards Agency (Government) Approved Driving Instructor (DSA ADI) for well over twenty five years. He qualified in August 1984, at the age of 25, and worked for a while for the British School of Motoring (BSM) in Chelmsford. Since then he has accrued more than 20,000 hours learner driver teaching experience, and a degree in education and combined sciences.
Alan's current Approved Driving Instructor certificate (ADI number 88344). ADI status can be checked on the Driving Standards Agency website, and the Driving Instructors Association website (please enter our postcode of SS5 4DS in both):

The DSA require that all driving instructors are Criminal Record Bureau checked.
Whereas most instructors don't progress beyond the basic ADI qualification, Alan has taken, as a part of his Continual Professional Development (CPD), a number of further courses and tests to increase his driving knowledge. This enables him to teach to the highest standard, and offer the very best service to his pupils.
